After getting a second opinion\, it was determined that\, as a result of advances in medicine\, my age and overall health\, the prognosis is survivable. I've started treatment at the Cancer Treament Centers of America in Chicago\, ill and the expenses have already become overwhelming. Ramona and I have good insurance\; however\, this illness is one of the more aggresive ones and\, in order to do what is neccesary to overcome this\, it is essential that Ramona take a leave of absence from her job to manage my care. \n\n\n\nAs you can imagine\, this has been a devastating turn of events\, that has caught us all off guard\; but\, we have a hope beyond medicine and a confidence beyond fear that we will win this fight. The need is great and we are reaching out to you\, asking that you consider joining us in this fight. With travel accommodations from St. Louis to Chicago for bi-weekly treatments\, as well as\, copays\, medical equipment and our current living expenses\, the costs are quickly adding up\, daily.\n\n\n\nWe are appealing to our friends\, family and well wishers and asking\, if you are able\, please give thought to financially partnering with us on a monthly basis with any contribution you are able to make. If you're not prepared to give on a monthly basis\, a one time gift\, of any amount\, would also be charished and greatly appreciated. The money raised will be used to meet the financial challenges that accompany this battle. \n\n\n\nWe know you love us and will do your best.
