What a beautiful day for the chamber Duck Races. It was a heated race with 580 ducks all swimming the lazy river at Koch Park Aquatic Center trying to be the first one to cross the finish line. The day began with the Mayor's Race. It was a close race but Florissant Mayor Tom Schneider cheered his duck on to take first place. We would like to thank Florissant Mayor Tom Schneider, Jennings Mayor Bob Doerr, Ferguson Mayor James Knowles III and Black Jack Mayor Norm McCourt for coming out to cheer on their ducks. In the main race, the wining duck was #359, purchased by Rosemary Hodges We would also like to thank our event sponsor, The Credit Care Company, the duck race committee, the volunteers, and all of the people who purchased ducks for the event. 2016 Annual Golf Tournament

SSM Health DePaul Hospital St. Louis
The Greater North County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Behavioral Unit & Patient Recreation Facility at SSM Health DePaul Hospital. This state of the art facility is the first of its kind in the area. SSM Health DePaul Hospital President, Sean Hogan was joined by hospital doctors and staff to officially open the unit. St. Rose Philippine Duchesne Students Celebrate Earth Day
St. Rose Philippine Duchesne Students celebrated Earth Day with an art show opening reception on April 21 at Good Shepherd Gallery in Ferguson (252 S. Florissant Rd). Sr. Glynis Mary McManamon is the artist and proprietor of the gallery, and she worked with art teacher Mrs. Deb Arnold to make the show a reality. The school is living up to the example of its namesake "pioneer" Saint Rose Philippine Duchesne. "One of the things I wanted to do was invite communities and youth-oriented art into the space, and these folks are the pioneers; St. Rose stepped up to do it," said Sister Glynis Mary. The art show will remain in Good Shepherd Gallery through May 6 and is open to the public.
April Membership Luncheon & Scholarship Awards
The Greater North County Chamber held our April luncheon and Scholarship Awards at Catering To You Banquet Center on Wednesday, April 20. We would like to congratulate the six students that received a $1,000 scholarship from the Chamber and the two students that received a $500 scholarship from Jacob's Ladder Ministries.
